Politically incorrect view on the US media reporting
As a non-partisan outsider I start a column on what is intentionally not mentioned in the US media. I start this, because I have a feeling that the US media are increasingly becoming partisan, introvert and influenced by commercial interest.
BBC has become much more international and non-partisan.
This tendency damages the soft power of the US.

On September 3 there was a big earthquake (with magnitude 5.8) in Oklahoma.
Although this area has a seismic fault line, earthquakes became more frequent after fracking method started to be used to effectively extract oil in this region.
If local people (there are many Indians, who used to be deported to reservations in this region) stand against the fracking method, it will again force the US to import large amount of oil from the Middle East. Oil prices will soar with negative repercussions on the economy of industrialized countries.
So why are there almost no reporting about this?
