Chinese attack on Taiwan is not imminent

Below is my take on Taiwan issue.
Taiwan is not a weak "object". It is a "subject" with its own will and capability.
As things stand now, Chinese invasion is not imminent.
Maintenance of the status quo, neither independence nor subjugation, would serve interest of all concerned parties including China.
