Hatoyama government is not anti-American

When Obama won the election, many Americans (democrats) came to Japan and explained to us that the Democratic Party (of the U.S.) is not anti-Japanese.

And now it seems that our own democrats have to reciprocate. I myself do not belong to any party(or no party comes to me for advice), but I can say for fairness that the Japanese Democratic Party is not anti-American.
It officially attaches priority on our relations with the U.S. and Asia, and when it attempts to strengthen Japanese involvement in Asian affairs, it always exhorts the U.S., actually the largest actor in Asia, to join.

As I do not have enough time to expand, I recommend an article below by one Japanese scholar, Dr.Ryo SAHASHI, who is currently in Canberra. I gave only a cursory reading, but it seems that his view is in many aspects identical with mine.
